Case Study
Terracotta, olive structure, mural texture, and warm light tuned to the home.
Project thesis
For this Santa Monica courtyard, the goal was to make the outdoor room feel inevitable from the house. We composed warmth through terracotta, olive structure, mural texture, and a careful lighting scene that makes the space feel inhabited after sunset.
The courtyard needed warmth and authorship, not more decoration.

Before
The space worked on paper, but it had no atmosphere and no point of view. It felt like a leftover zone rather than a destination.
After
The finished courtyard layers texture and restraint. It feels Mediterranean without becoming literal, and it remains legible from morning coffee through late evening dining.

Partner Lens
The courtyard reads as part of the architecture because every planter, finish, and light temperature was selected as a family.
